Hello, my name is Jamila Salam and I am the sole owner and creator of Beyond Roots premium hair care products. This is my story of how it all began...
As a mother of three beautiful girls with 4c hair type - myself included - I began a hair journey, searching for products to make myself and my girls hair longer and manageable. I wanted products that would nourish the hair and scalp without harmful chemicals. I used several hair care products throughout the years during my journey but could not find anything that showed impressive results.
Then nearly a decade ago, I went to a summer ladies seminar where I was taught how to make Amla hair oil from to all the ladies seminar and was taught how to make Amla hair oil from scratch. Amla oil is a natural remedy prepared from the fruit of the gooseberry tree.
By making Amla oil at home I can choose the potency and oil base, individualize the dose, nutrients, and ultimately provide amazing health benefits for hair types 1 through 4C.
